More than half a billion people still lack reliable power, urban and industrial demand across West Africa is compounding at double-digit rates, and governments across the region have opened generation to private investment at unprecedented scale.
The gas-to-power transition (converting liquid-fuel fleets and building new combined-cycle capacity on domestic and imported gas) is the defining energy investment of the decade in the region, reinforced by cross-border electricity trade through the West African Power Pool.
Profusion has structured utility-scale power and gas transactions across the region, mobilizing tier-one international counsel and working alongside US and African development-finance institutions, global commodity trading houses, and leading American equipment manufacturers. The firm maintains an active multi-country pipeline across generation, midstream, and upstream gas, and participates in the principal US-Africa energy investment forums in Washington and New York.
